Wedding Cake Guidelines 

 

Your wedding cake is the show-piece of the reception.

There are many designs available for your cake,

 including squares, oblongs, ovals, or heart shape cakes.

Either stacking them with or without columns, 

placing them in tiers, or arranging them side by side

on stands of different heights.

Below are a few points to consider

when getting ready to order for your special day:

 

  

 

1) Number of guests

2) Time and place of reception

3) Type of food and beverage

4) Size of cake needed

5) Layout options (stacked, with columns multi-tiered, stands, fountains, stairs, etc.)

6) Shape of cake (round, heart, hexagon, square, oval, oblong)

7) Choice of cake, fillings, icings

8) Option of additional decorations (fresh flowers, silk flowers, gum paste flowers, pearls, ribbon, sea shells, etc.)

Q:  Do you provide other cakes besides wedding cakes?
A:  At Ready, Set, Cakes! we vary in providing all types of cakes. From birthday cakes to baby shower cakes to wedding and anniversary cakes, we've got you covered!

Q:  Can I taste a sample of your cake flavors before placing an order?
A:  Yes, at the consultation you will taste the diverse flavors that we provide.

Q:  Can you design a cake from a picture?
A:  Yes, you may bring pictures to the initial consultation to discuss various design options.

Q:  Am I required to order the cake at the consultation?
A:  No. You can take your cake proposal home for review, and contact us at a later date if you wish to place an order You can mail us a check and we will send you a contract to secure our services.

Q:  How much notice is required for cake design and delivery?
A:  Please provide at least 3 days notice for simple cakes and 2 weeks notice for special design orders such as baby showers, anniversaries, etc.  For wedding orders, we require at least 1-2 months notice.

Q: How much does it cost to have a cake delivered to my location?
A: Delivery rates start at $50, if the location is outside of Snellville, GA. If you live within the Snellville area, the cost for delivery starts at $25.
